Regular façade inspections catch loose masonry, failing lintels and water damage before they become dangerous or expensive. Homex Builders provides façade condition assessments and repair services for buildings across the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Yonkers, Long Island and New Jersey.

For smaller buildings, we survey the façade and recommend repairs. For buildings subject to Local Law 11, we coordinate access and work alongside your Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI), then complete the required repairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can perform Local Law 11 inspections?

FISP inspections must be performed by a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI). We coordinate with QEWIs and perform repairs.

How often should a façade be inspected?

Buildings over six stories must be inspected every five years. Smaller buildings benefit from periodic checks, especially older masonry buildings.

What do inspectors look for?

Cracks, loose or bulging masonry, rusted lintels, failing sealants, parapet damage and water infiltration.

How much does façade inspection cost in NYC?

Pricing depends on the size of the area, the condition of existing materials, access and the materials you choose. We provide a free on-site estimate with a clear scope and price before any work begins.

Do façade inspections require permits?

Inspections themselves usually do not, but scaffolding, probes and repairs may require DOB permits. We help coordinate.
